The UPFA may win the GE, based on the victory of President MR in the recently concluded Presidential elections and the many issues that have unravelled thereafter. However a 2/3 majority nay not be as easy as expected. Polls vioilations will also need to be taken into account. It is doubtful the results announced will be 100% clean.

This must be the worst election in the world and the president may be proud of it. Mr.Mahinda Rajapakse’s name will remain in the world records as the worst ever President/Politician.

Western countries are there to destroy SriLanka. I can notice the media in Australia celeberate negative news from SL. An insider said that Australian government is worried about losing part of tourism income to SL. They are using tamils diaspro as a tool to demolish SL again. I hope Mahinda will get 2/3 majority and fend off these western bastards and the tamil diaspro shouting from outside SL.

Ranil needs to resign. Does he not have any dignity at all? The masses is sri-lanka will not trust the party under his leadership after that traitorous ceasefire agreement. For all UNPers who keep shouting ” foul election” – please understand the reality, and kick Ranil out. This country needs a strong opposition..

Hi Prem
Don’t make stupid comments . Aus economy is worth 1 trillion & sl
economy is worth 32 billion. Do you aus will be worried about a 3rd world under developed country.
Aus wasted 1.5 times whole of sl economy on stimulus spending last year.

This result is a reflection of a pride of independent nation.
The “most loosing UNP leader has destroyed a good party to no party”
I wonder still Ranil can wear a cloth and go to parliament as opposition leader,or go to EU and complaisant about HR issues or press freedom in Sri Lanka.Sad git ..!
JVP thought they wee the 3rd force some 6-10 yeas back. They have been given a reality check. From those in University student councils (pro JVP)
to dodgy rebels, need to understand the need of the day, not to marry selfish faggots like SF.
While I feel sad about SF about his fate from being a Hero to Zero and a leader to traitor, Its basic understanding, you need to know where you came from, and to respect the dignity of people and nation.
Any decent person will pack the bag and go to US masters at least to stay honourable
UK
Yes their pot is on the Owen, in May 8th its decided, if the people are with the Brown government will find out, that even talking to LTTE conference will not give them a victory, and more importantly a Sri Lanka friendly UK government
After all this proves again selling the dignity to the west for financial and power hunger, is the last thing a one should do, if they have a brain and a backbone. (Unfortunately Ranil failed again, and SF experiment didnt work out)
Ranil,SF,JVP still want another election?
God bless SriLanka
